Qualified Social Worker - Children's Services

My client, a local authority social services department, is looking to recruit a Qualified Social Worker to join their Children's Services department.

My client is searching for a Qualified Social Worker to join their Children & Families team based on the south coast of England. The successful candidate will pick up an existing load of Child Protection cases, including those subject to court attendance. This lively coastal town boasts a local authority social services department that was rated 'outstanding' after a recent inspection. They offer a supportive working environment, job satisfaction and the opportunity to progress, and have a manager who has an 'open door' policy available to all staff. The position itself is on offer for 9 months - ideal for someone who wishes to work as a locum but have some modicum of job security. This area possesses great transport links to London and the Home Counties, the Midlands and the south-west of England, meaning that this position could be available to someone who could relocate for the length of a contract. In order to be considered for this position you must have a MINIMUM of 2 years post-qualifying experience working within a Child Protection team. As a Qualified Social Worker (DipSW, CQSW etc) you will be registered with the GSCC and hold an enhanced CRB disclosure aged no older than 1 year. This position involves some work-based travelling, so someone who has a full UK licence and access to a vehicle would be preferred.
